Millions Enjoy the “Eat Out to Help Out” Scheme
In the first two weeks, over 35 million people in the UK ate out and enjoyed massive savings. In Croydon alone, over 100 restaurants, pubs and cafes have been participating in this government scheme, aimed at supporting the hospitality industry and encouraging people to venture out again.
Our team at Check Out Croydon (aka Croydon BID) has been enjoying our favourite places to eat and drink, as well as trying some new places in Croydon.
Matt, our CEO, loves a good breakfast and said:
“As well as enjoying a breakfast meeting at the Milan bar for half price, I’ve also tried out a steak burrito from Chilango’s, which was divine!”
Keely, our Business Support manager, is very healthy, having recently completed the MyPT gym transformational program, but she enjoys the occasional evening out with friends and family. Keely said;
“I’ve been to Trehouse for supper with her family and it was fab; it was buzzing with a vibrant atmosphere. We had the tapas menu, which we got for only £11.00”
Shaun, our Operations Manager, has been making full use of the offer, even enjoying both breakfast and lunch out on the first day. He said:
“My favourite so far has been Mr Fox; their food is always so delicious and it’s just got even better. Their new head chef is from the renowned Hawksmoor and has created an awesome menu. Go try it!”
Cheryll, our Business Crime and Safety manager, enjoys a cappuccino from Triple Two and a bacon sandwich from Central café in St George’s Walk. Scott and Alex, our Street Ambassadors, have enjoyed meals at Five Guys, Green Dragon and Coqfighter. They’re decided to go to Wagamama next week. Tasha, our Marketing and Communications manager, has been enjoying the decadence of a Limited Edition Lobster sandwich from Pret for half price.
The Eat Out to Help Out scheme will run until the 31st August, so there is only next week (Monday-Wednesday) and the following Monday left to take advantage of this fantastic offer. No voucher is required; just eat in and enjoy 50% (to a maximum of £10pp) off your food and soft drinks bill.
