MonsterVillians Safari Trail Coming to Croydon Tomorrow
Families can go on the hunt to find ‘MonsterVillians’, which they can bring to life on their smartphones.
MonsterVillians will be giving families a socially distanced, contactless and fun activity to do in the October half-term holidays, particularly families with young children. Providing fun and engagement, and a reason to clock some distance walking around the town centre too.
The trail takes on average about 45 minutes to complete and, at approximately 1.5 miles or 3,500 steps, it should keep families fit and active too while providing a fun way to enjoy Croydon’s North End, the high street and shopping centres.
There’s no need to sign up or download anything because the ‘MonsterVillians Safari’ trail works by utilising contactless QR codes.
10 vinyl window monsters, all specially created for this project, will appear around Croydon tomorrow, Friday 1th October, for families to track down.
There is no need to actually go inside the venues, but some participating businesses are offering extra incentives to come in while you visit.
When you scan each character’s unique QR code, the monster will come to life in an animation on your smartphone and you’ll learn their names, stories and ‘powers’.
Younger children can enjoy spotting the colourful characters in shop windows and older kids, and grown-up ones, will engage by hearing the stories. After finding all 10 MonsterVillains, you will be rewarded with free eBook, written specially for the trail.
